It's not often I get to go home to Massachusetts for a wedding, but last year I had two- Aaron [my brother] & Angela and then Allison & Tony a month later! Believe it or not, I've shot at Plymouth Planation before [or should I say Plimoth Plantation if you want the real spelling]. It's a fun, rustic venue which is part of the greater Plymouth, Massachusetts landing site of the Mayflower and Pilgrims. Basically every child in Mass and Rhode Island goes to this place at least 5 times in their childhood to learn directly from actors dressed up as period settlers. It's kind of awesome.
Interesting enough, Allison and Tony both live in Los Angeles, but with a good amount of family by the Cape, it just made sense to have an East Coast wedding. I hope you love their beautifully romantic Plymouth Plantation Wedding photos!

If there was one designer of wedding dresses & suits that I always swoon for, it's JCrew. I loved all the details of this fantastic dress and the colors overlooking Plymouth Bay.
While Allison got some super gorgeous window light at the Pilgrim Sands Motel, Tony was out catching some last minute waves in the Bay. It was that kind of a relaxing day.
This wedding was very special because for the first time I got to use my younger brother Colin as a second shooter with me. He helped bounce back and forth between rooms while the guys were getting everything together.
I think it's pretty obvious by now how much I love first looks. Allison and Tony had an incredibly beautiful first look in the gardens for their Plymouth Plantation Wedding. There's nothing like seeing those amazing reactions when it's just the two of you there, celebrating what the day is really about.
The wedding took place in the scenic Hornblower Gardens at Plimoth Plantation. It's very easy to love all the lush greenery and all the gorgeous spots around the property.
There were so many fantastic backdrops to work with at Plimoth Plantation, the whole color scheme went perfectly together.
